To celebrate its long history in the sport,
Campagnolo is soon releasing an 80th Anniversary Collection consisting of a limited edition Super Record group and two
wheelsets. The group comes in a special case that illustrates some of Campy’s involvement in cycling and innovation in componentry.
While we do not yet have pricing information, we do have some photography, so take a look through the gallery at right.
The Campagnolo 80th Anniversary Collection
Campagnolo said this 80th Anniversary Collection group uses new finishing techniques „such as humid-state microsanding on carbon fiber parts, new opaque finishing procedures on aluminum parts and new treatments for often overlooked technical pieces.“
The group weighs a claimed 1,862g.
The group is Super Record 11 with a new finish and graphics
Campagnolo also has an 80th Anniversary 1,310g carbon wheelset and a 1,590g carbon/aluminum wheelset. Both feature 50mm tall aero rims, Campy’s G3 spoke pattern. The main difference is in the braking surface; the former is carbon while the latter is aluminum. As with the group, pricing has not been released.
